Mike Rolland is an accomplished singer-songwriter who specialises in acoustic contemporary folk music. Mike has been passionately crafting and performing his music for over 30 years with a growing reputation for his unique lyrics, impressive guitar skills, and heartfelt live performances.
Born and raised on the Fylde Coast, Mike's early days were defined by hard work, perseverance, and a deep appreciation for the natural beauty of the region. As a young boy, he first picked up the guitar, and quickly became enamoured with the storytelling possibilities of music.

Despite this there have been relatively few album releases. There are three Phantom Voices/Blue Pig Orchestra studio albums released to critical acclaim, earning praise for thoughtful lyrics, intricate guitar work, and impeccable vocal work. Mike’s music combines elements of traditional music with a contemporary sensibility, resulting in a sound that is uniquely his own. A new studio album is due out in September 2023, the first as a solo musician. Named ‘Down to the Wyre’ it features songs written about the changing face of Fleetwood with the waning of industry in a town whose main economy was based on fishing for many decades.
With a growing following of loyal fans, and an ever-expanding body of work, Mike will continue making waves in the world of acoustic contemporary music for years to come.
